When a new street is being laid out various types of utility lines are laid out. These could be electric, gas, water, steam, sewer and storm drains. There are usually located in descending order, the storm drain at the lowest level. At each major change of direction or grade in the utility system, a manhole is constructed, providing a point from which the pipes can be cleaned.

These manholes can be constructed of various materials from bricks, concrete to fiberglass. Manhole frames and covers made out of Cast Iron or Ductile Iron cover all these manholes. They come in various sizes depending on engineering specifications and city requirements. We have shown various types on the following pages. If you don’t find what you are looking for, let us know. We will be happy to develop special manhole frames and covers per your requirements and supply the sample for your approval before the shipment.
